Frequently Asked Questions
1Dishwasher Repair
In Dubai, the most common cause is mineral scale from hard water blocking the drain pump or filter over time. Food debris, a kinked drain hose, or a faulty drain pump motor are also frequent causes. We identify the exact fault on-site; there's no guessing, and no charge for the inspection.
Usually not the machine itself. Dubai's water has a very high mineral content, and that calcium deposits on dishes during the drying cycle. Using a rinse aid consistently helps. If the residue is heavy or the machine is also under-cleaning, the spray arms or filter may be blocked; we can check both.
The most likely causes are a worn door seal, an overloaded machine, or too much detergent producing excess suds that overflow. A cracked door hinge or a faulty pump seal can also cause floor leaks. Don't run the machine again until the source is confirmed. Water under kitchen units causes damage that is far more expensive to fix than the dishwasher itself.
Check that the door is fully latched; most dishwashers won't start if the door isn't properly closed. Also confirm the water supply is on and the child lock isn't active. If the control panel is unresponsive or showing an error code, that points to a control board or wiring issue that needs a technician.
Most dishwasher repairs — drain pump replacement, door seal, control board, or spray arm issues — are completed in one visit of one to two hours. We carry commonly needed parts on the van. If a part needs to be ordered, we'll tell you before we leave and schedule the follow-up immediately.
For most dishwashers under eight years old, repair is the better option. Built-in models especially — removal, disposal, and reinstallation of a new unit adds cost that most people don't factor in. We give you a straight comparison so you can decide properly.
2Electric Cooker Repair
Individual hob elements can fail independently. A single dead or underperforming hob usually means a faulty heating element or a broken switch for that zone. It's a straightforward repair and one of the most common electric cooker faults we see in Dubai. We replace the element with a genuine part and test every hob before we leave.
This is almost always a thermostat fault or a failing bake element. Over time — particularly in Dubai's heat and with heavy use — thermostats drift or fail outright, causing the oven to under-heat or cut out early. We test the actual temperature against the set temperature, identify the cause, and fix it properly.
Yes, in most cases. An unresponsive control panel usually points to a faulty control board, a blown fuse, or a loose internal connection — all of which are repairable. Before calling, try switching the cooker off at the wall for 60 seconds and back on. If that doesn't reset it, a technician needs to inspect the board.
The other hobs are likely safe to use, but we'd recommend not using the faulty zone; a partial failure can sometimes indicate a wiring issue that may worsen. Get it inspected sooner rather than later.
Yes, significantly. A door that doesn't seal correctly causes heat to escape, meaning the oven works harder, uses more electricity, and still cooks unevenly. A worn door gasket or a broken hinge is usually all it is, a low-cost fix that makes a real difference.
Yes. We repair both freestanding and built-in electric ovens, hobs, and range cookers across all major brands available in the UAE market.
3Gas Cooker Repair
Persistent clicking without ignition is almost always caused by a wet or dirty igniter, a misaligned burner cap, or a faulty spark module. After cleaning around the burner, make sure the cap is seated flat and even. If the clicking continues, the igniter or spark module needs to be replaced; both are common, straightforward repairs.
A weak or orange flame usually indicates a partially blocked burner port or an issue with the gas pressure to that burner. Blocked ports are cleaned easily. A consistent orange flame on a gas appliance can also indicate incomplete combustion — which produces carbon monoxide — so this should be checked promptly, not left.
Turn the cooker off completely, open windows to ventilate the room, and do not use any electrical switches. Call us immediately — or your gas supplier if you cannot reach us. A gas smell when the unit is off indicates a leak at the valve or connection point, which requires urgent attention. We carry out a full safety check on every gas cooker repair before we consider the job complete.
This could be a gas supply issue — check whether other gas appliances in the home are working. If they are, the problem is specific to the cooker: a failed ignition switch, a faulty valve, or an electrical fault in the control board. We diagnose on-site and advise before starting any work.
Yes. On every gas cooker repair, we test each burner individually and perform a safety check before closing the job. We don't sign off on a gas appliance unless we're satisfied it's operating safely.
We repair all major brands available through UAE retail channels — Samsung, Bosch, Siemens, Ariston, Beko, Zanussi, Electrolux, Super General, and others. If your brand isn't listed, contact us and we'll confirm.
4Refrigerator Repair
A fridge that has stopped cooling in Dubai's heat is a priority call. Food is at risk within hours. If you call during the morning, we aim for a same-day visit. Tell us when you call that it's a cooling failure and we treat these as urgent.
Water inside the fridge usually comes from a blocked defrost drain; the drain line freezes or gets blocked, and meltwater backs up into the compartment instead of flowing out. Water under the fridge typically comes from the same blocked drain or from a cracked water line behind the unit. Both are fixable on the same visit in most cases.
This is a very common pattern and usually points to a faulty evaporator fan, a blocked air vent between the freezer and fridge compartment, or a defrost system issue. The freezer works because it's closer to the compressor; the fridge compartment loses cooling when airflow is disrupted. We've diagnosed this exact fault many times across Dubai.
Excessive frost usually means the automatic defrost system has failed — either the defrost heater, timer, or thermostat. It can also be caused by a door seal that's no longer closing properly, letting warm humid air in. Left untreated, it reduces cooling efficiency and puts pressure on the compressor.
Indirectly, yes. Fridges with ice makers or water dispensers can develop scale buildup in the water line or ice maker components over time. We see this regularly and replace affected parts with genuine components designed for the unit.
A new or louder noise from a fridge is worth investigating. Buzzing often points to the compressor or condenser fan. Rattling can mean a loose component or debris near the fan. A clicking sound that repeats may indicate the compressor is struggling to start. None of these should be left; a failing compressor is the most expensive fridge repair, and catching the problem early usually means a cheaper fix.
Yes, all types. We cover single-door, double-door, side-by-side, French door, and under-counter fridge units across all brands. Commercial refrigeration units are also covered under our commercial chiller service.
5Washing Machine Repair
Dubai's tap water has a very high mineral content. Over months of use, calcium and limescale accumulate inside the drum, pump, and heating element — even if the machine looks clean from the outside. This leads to drainage failures, reduced spin efficiency, and leaks. It's the single biggest cause of washing machine breakdowns in Dubai and something we deal with on almost every repair call.
The most common causes are a blocked pump filter, a kinked or clogged drain hose, or a faulty drain pump. The pump filter on most machines can be accessed from a small panel at the front bottom — checking and clearing this is safe to do yourself. If that doesn't resolve it, the pump itself may need to be replaced, which requires a technician.
Yes, clothes that are very wet after the spin cycle usually mean the spin speed isn't reaching its full RPM, or drainage isn't complete before spin starts. This can be caused by motor brush wear, a faulty control board, or a load imbalance sensor fault. We diagnose which it is and replace only what needs replacing.
The door seal (gasket) is almost always the cause of a front-loader door leak. In Dubai, hard water residue and heat cause the rubber seal to harden and crack faster than it would elsewhere. We replace it with a genuine seal matched to your machine's model and brand.
Loud noise during spin usually means worn drum bearings or a foreign object (coin, button) caught between the drum and the outer tub. Bearing failure is a progressive problem — the longer it runs, the more damage it causes. This repair is worth doing sooner, especially on machines that are otherwise in good condition.
Yes. We repair all types of front-loading, top-loading, fully automatic, semi-automatic, and combined washer-dryer units. We also cover commercial laundry machines for small businesses.
Most repairs — to the drain pump, door seal, bearing, control board — are done within one to two hours in a single visit. We test a full cycle before leaving so you can confirm the machine is working before we close the job.
6Wine Chiller / Wine Cooler Repair
Temperature fluctuation in a wine chiller is usually caused by a failing thermostat, a dirty condenser, low refrigerant, or a compressor that's beginning to wear. Unlike a regular fridge, a wine chiller needs to hold a precise range — even if a few degrees of drift affects how wine is stored. We identify the exact cause before recommending a repair.
Yes. Increased noise, particularly a buzzing or rattling from the compressor area — often signals that the compressor is working harder than it should. This can be caused by a dirty condenser coil, low refrigerant, or a vibrating component. It's worth having it checked before the compressor fails entirely, as compressor replacement is the most expensive wine cooler repair.
Unresponsive controls usually point to a faulty control board, a blown internal fuse, or a wiring issue. A power cycle (switching the unit off at the wall for 60 seconds) sometimes resets it. If not, the board needs to be inspected by a technician. We use genuine replacement boards to ensure the temperature controls operate as the manufacturer intended.
Yes. Dual-zone units are more complex because they maintain two separate temperature environments, but we repair them with the same process — genuine parts, full testing of both zones before we leave, and a warranty on the work.
For built-in or freestanding wine coolers that were a significant investment, repair almost always makes more sense than replacement. The fault is usually isolated to one component — thermostat, compressor relay, control board — rather than the whole unit. We give you an honest view on whether the repair is worth it for your specific unit.
7Commercial Chiller Repair
Commercial chiller failure is a trading emergency — stock is at risk and operations are affected from the moment it stops. If you call during business hours, we prioritise same-day attendance for commercial faults. Tell us when you call that it's a commercial unit and that it's urgent, and we treat it accordingly.
We repair reach-in upright chillers, under-counter units, display chillers, back bar coolers, and prep table refrigerators used in restaurants, cafés, hotels, retail stores, and supermarkets. We also cover commercial blast chillers and walk-in cold room units — contact us to discuss the specific equipment.
A commercial unit that runs continuously but can't hold temperature is usually struggling with a dirty condenser coil, low refrigerant, a failing evaporator fan, or a compressor that's under-powered for the current load. In Dubai's heat, condensers need to be cleaned more frequently than the service manual suggests; this is one of the most overlooked causes of chiller performance problems.
It depends on the code. Some error codes are warnings that allow operation to continue short-term; others indicate a fault that should stop the unit immediately. Share the brand, model, and error code with us when you call — we can advise immediately whether it's safe to continue using the unit while we arrange attendance.
In a standard commercial environment, every six months. In Dubai, where heat, dust, and heavy usage combine, quarterly servicing is advisable for high-traffic businesses. Servicing includes condenser coil cleaning, refrigerant level check, door seal inspection, temperature calibration, and drain clearing. It significantly reduces the likelihood of unexpected breakdowns.
Yes. For businesses that cannot afford unplanned downtime, we offer scheduled maintenance contracts covering regular servicing and priority response for any breakdowns. Contact us to discuss what works for your operation.
Yes — on every job, commercial or residential. Non-genuine parts may cost less upfront but fail faster and can void any remaining manufacturer warranty on the unit. All our commercial repairs use manufacturer-approved components and come with a warranty on parts and labour.
